CardPatterns Sketch 22.....Happiness and Butterflies

CardPatterns has such a beautiful Sketch this week......Butterflies and Flourishes??? OH MY! Who could resist??? :) Not me!! So here is my take on the sketch.

I brought home some goodies from my weekend at my SIL, Nathalia's house. So I decided to use some of them with this sketch. We had such a great time using her Cuddlebug and cutting out shapes and embossing them, that I just had to use some of them!

All of the DP on this card is Club Scrap. I used a greeting to go card stock and coordinating mat. I used Embroidery Floss and hand sewed the stitching all around the card. I also added floss to the butterflies their middles to match. The circles and flourishes are cut out with the Cuddlebug and I added a flower from Sassafras to the middle of the circle. The Sentiment is Unity and stamped with Brown Stazon ink and embellished with some bling from K&CO.

Hope you had a wonderful Monday. Mine was hard I have to admit. I really wanted to stay home today and play with all of my new stuff that my SIL gave me......and the rest of my Unity Stamps came in the mail...so It was hard to go to work and resist the urge to play!!

Oh well....gotta have some way to pay for my habit!! Right??? LOL! :)

Cuttlebugged~~and Caardvarks Home is where the heart is.....

Happy 4th. of July everyone!!!

I was not sure if I would be posting at all this weekend........

But I found some time and was able to and I am just soooo happy!

My hubby and I arrived in Lawton yesterday evening and we headed out for a bite to eat with his parents. After that, we went straight over to my SIL's Nathalia house!!

Of course we are always so excited to see her 2 boys and her hubby Oscar. But ladies.....seriously? Have you been to Nathalia's blog????

She has got the MAD skills and just so happens that she was making some 4th. of July projects and was at her craft table!!! :) Wahoooo!
Just being around her makes me feel inspired and I just want her to touch me so she maybe will rub some of that awesome talent onto me!!!! LOL :)

Soooooo.......I sat down with her and I was able to play with her Cuddlebug!! YES! I am officially hooked on this wondrous tool!!! OMG! Why do I NOT have one of these?????

Seriously people!!! WOW! I am literally running out and buying one!!! I had such great fun with it and it's sooo easy to use!!

Well....since she was already making some projects and had a lot of sfuff out.....she told me to start shopping. She did! She told me to go through her papers and embellishments and start picking things out that I wanted to keep!! :) Shopping without money??? For paper and awesomeness???? WOW! She did you guys!! She is sooo sweet to do that for me!!

I picked some items out and then she asked me to play along with the 4th of July card celebration at Caardvarks. Also.....to make something for the most recent Cuttlebug Challenge: Stars.

I was thrilled to be able to play along and with her right there with me!! She whipped out the Cuttlebug and I learned how to use it......I picked out some stamps to use. She had her Unity stamps out in the table so of course I just had to use those!! :)

I picked this cute house and sentiment from Unity as my focal point of the card.

I just really thought that this house and sentiment were so red, white and blue!!! :)

I used DP from Club Scrap and some other yummy papers she gave me.....and ran the light blue dp through the CB with the Stars embossing folder........sooo darn cute! I also cut out the 2 circles for the base of the house using the CB. I stamped the images several times and layered them. I colored them in with red and white pens. I added some stick pins with hearts and I love how they look like Fireworks popping out from the card!! Added some ribbons and there we go!!!

I have just been having an awesome time this holiday weekend hanging with the fam and playing with all of Nathalia's yummy and endless supply of goodies!!! Man, she has a lot of stuff!!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #11 with Dawn McVey

Hi Everyone!~ ~~ Hope your Thursday has been good. I am very glad that my long holiday has officially begun! And what better way to kick off the holiday with another awesome color challenge with Dawn! :)
Wow! There were 5 colors in this challenge and it was tough for me to do I have to admit!!
But I am always up for a challenge!! :)

I am sooooo happy that I was able to play with my new Unity Stamps on this card!! I just signed up for Unitys Kit of the Month and these yummy butterflies were begging me to ink them up!!!
I stamped them with Black Stazon and cut them out. Aren't they gorgeous!!??
The Sentiment and flourish are also from Junes Unity kit. I am lovin my Unity!!!! :) Wahooooo!!

The base of my card is Bright Red card stock from Club Scrap. I added the Grass Green Bassil dp as a background and used my Martha Stewart Punch to decorate the bottom.
I also punched out smaller butterflies with my MS Butterfly Punch. I added Bright Pink bling across the middle of the middle butterfly and to the smaller butterfiles. I distressed the card stock and sentiment and inked it around the edges to tie in all of the black. I added a Soft Grey ribbon to the sentiment.

Well... that is my card for this weeks Raspberry Suite Challenge. I think it turned out pretty cute! I really love these new stamps!! I ordered some more that should be in the mail tomorrow.......OH I hope!!! LOL!

Triple the Sketch # 63.....Faces 2 Love!

Ok....before you check to see if your actually at Kimberly's Krafts.....yes, you are!! I actually did a LO!! Can you believe it?? Even I almost can't!!! LOL! Well....it sure has been a while!! But when I was blog hopping around and saw this very great blog called Triple the Sketch.....and everyone having so much fun over there, I figured what a better way to get my LO's going again then with a great sketch!? :)

My LO is featuring a few of my favorite men in my life.
My wonderful hubby Baldemar, and my 2 awesome nephews, Jon and Victor. When I was going through my mound of photos, these are the faces I see in there the most! I have a ton of pics of these 3 together.... and it will take me the rest of my life to scrap them all. :)
But I do not mind at all! They are handsome to look at!!

My LO starts with a Dark Green DP from Bassil. I layered it with a plain White DP, that I also punched with one of my Martha Stewart punches.I also added some fun DP from DCWV from the recycled collection. I went with primary colors and added Die Cut Circles from MM and of course I just had to use a vintage button and lace it with twine. I could not resist and it perfectly fit in that circle!! :) The photos are matted in Bassil dp.
I also used White Thickers Accents and Letters from American Crafts. This sketch did require some stamping, so I added a few stars/circle stamps from SU! along the border. It is stamped in Olive Green Stazon.

That is it! My very first Triple Sketch LO! It was fun.....and I am hoping to continue to play every week so I can get that mound of photos onto some paper and into some photo albums!! :)

Card Patterns Sketch 21.....If I fall in Love....

Here is my first entry for Card Patterns. It's Sketch #21 and this is a fun sketch!! :) This sketch comes from Kristen Swain, and is sponsered by Odd Bird Planet. It's their 3rd birthday and they have offered The Fairy Tale Kit to the winner!! Wooot!!

Sooo fun!! :) Great cards girls!!

For my card I started with white card base. I have been using up these yummy vintage buttons that Lana gave me and I thought I would stick with this lovely dp from Cosmo Crickets Everafter line for this sketch. I layered this dp and used my scallop punch from SU! for the borders. I inked up all of the dp with Ranger Vintage ink. The sentiment is layered 3 times on the same dp. It reads....."When I falll in love, it will be forever." The Lash Fiber is from Club Scrap. And of course those yummy vintage buttons are layered twice and threaded with a twine bow! :)

~Buttons Just for you~~

As I promised yesterday, I am getting creative with these Yummy Buttons that Lana gave to me!! This big button inparticular that is layered with another smaller button, is soooooo huge!! I decided to keep it the focal point of this card.
I used Cosmo Crickets Everafter dp for this card. This dp is soooo beautiful and elegant.
I also got out my needle and thread and sewed on this card!! :) I have been wanting to do some sewing on paper and decided today was a great day for that!!
Soooo.....while watching a movie this afternoon, I stitched my little heart out...... :)
I also added some lace and Ranger vintage ink to the card.
I used my SU! scallop punch on all of the dp. The tag is also from the Everafter kit.
I got this yummy dp and stickers in a past 2Spotted Dogs kit. Love them!!
I am also in love with these great vintage buttons! And there will be lots more cards displaying them in the days and weeks to come!!

"Friend"

I have a card to share that I made for my girl Lana. She has this amazing collection of antique buttons that she inherited from her husbands grandmother. They are soooo awesome and they are very unique! She gave me some a while back to use on some cards and brought me some more today!! Wahhhoooooo! Thanks Lana!
I went ahead and made this card for her a few weeks ago using one of the pretty black buttons she gave me. This button had bling in the middle!! :)
I made this flower out of paper.....her favorite color is purple and I thought this green looked great with it! Of course I used black paper also to tie it all together. The sentiment says Friend, it's SU! and is stamped in purple.
I just wanted to share this card....and let you all know that the buttons she gave me today are soooooo much more awesome and I will be making some cards with them this weekend and posting them as I make them! :)

It's really hot here in Ok City....so we will be staying in the AC and I will be working at my craft table for sure!! If we get a chance.....we may have to sneak out to the movies and go see Transformers part 2~~ :)

Happy Birthday Shout out to my girl Lana!

Today is a very special day! My friend and co-worker Lana celebrated her 27th. birthday today! We had Chocolate and cream cheese cake that our office manager Christina made for her and she got to wear the Tiara all day at work!!
I made her a special cupcake birthday card and she had a lot of fun!! :) Her hubby even made time to stop by during his busy day to see her at the office!!

I am so glad that I have had the chance to get to know you Lana! Your a wonderful person with a big heart and a wild sense of humor and I am so blessed to know you. You have become a great friend to me and I am sooooo glad that we can talk scrapbooking and share our love of paper crafts together! Its a pleasure to see your smilin face everyday and I'm so happy to celebrate your 27th birthday with you today, my friend! :)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #10 with Dawn McVey

WoW! I can't believe this is the #10th Raspberry Suite Color Challenge with Dawn! I have played along with every one except #5!! I am not sure why I did not play that week...but I am sure it was for a good reason!! LOL! :)
Her challenges are so inspiring to me. She makes us put together the best color combos! The colors are always fun and they always challenge me!! This week's challenge was no different.
I just love these fabrics that she found for this challenge. They are so pretty! And she is going to make some baby birpie cloths with them!! How cute will those be?? :) :)

For my card I started with a cream card stock from Club Scrap. I used Dark Brown Stazon Ink and stamped flowers all over the card. The stamp is SU! and it's from the Polka Dot Punches set. This is the first time I have used this stamp and it's such a cute flower!! I then punched out butterflies with my Martha Stewart Punch with dp from Club Scrap in Melon and Berry. I adhered them to each flower. I added the Dark Brown ribbon and stamped the sentiment, Merci in the same Dark Brown Stazon.
That is my card! I think it turned out pretty cute!! :) But you can't really go wrong with flowers and butterflies!! Thanks for looking!!

Kristina Werner Color Challenge #55 ~Notes~

Well.....I just could not help myself.....I had to make one more card for this weeks color challenge with Kristina Werner. :)
I have this beautiful DP from Basic Grey that I just adore and thought I would use it up!
I started out with Grey dp from Club Scrap as the base of my card. I made this yummy flower with a Club Scrap stencil and The same yummy Ambrosia dp. I layered the flower with 2 different size stencil flowers and added a pretty Rhinestone button to the middle as well as couple to the bottom of the card.
The Sentiment is a tag that comes from MM's Note Worthy collection. I Love this collection and the colors are great for this challenge. The yummy Rust Fibers are from Club Scrap. I added 3 rows of them to the side panal of the card. These are some of my favorite fibers!!!
