A Birthday card for Josie......

Joslyn will be turning 5 years old on Thursday!!

I knew her birthday was coming up...but it sure came fast!

I got the invitation in the mail today and of course I had to make her a card! :)

This is her opening her presents last year when she was only 4!! :)

Next to her is her BFF watching with anticipation!!

We have not missed one single birthday party yet Josie and this year is no exception!

We will be celebrating at Cactus Jacks again this year and what fun

we had there when she turned 3!!

Games, food, cake and fun!!

We love you sweetheart and we love you too Tiffany!

I know we don't see each other enough,

but I think of you all the time and miss you soooo much!

Her card is very pink and sparkley! It's hard to see in the picture but it is just adorable!

I just know that she will love it!!

Club Scraps Summer Camp Yah-Hey-n-So

Just wanted everone to know that I will be attending Club Scraps Summer camp this Summer! It's going to be a great time with CS friends and lots of creating! I have not been an active member in a while but I have TONS of yummy supplies on hand to use up and what a great way to make some awesome LO's! I will be in Cabin #2 and ready to join in on the fun!

Card Patterns Sketch #23 Butterflies

CardPatterns has a great new sketch this week and it is sponsered by ShortCuts

Here is my take on the sketch:

I started with a white card base. I used Chatterbox DP for the top and bottom of my card.

I ran the bottom part through my Cuttlebug with the Swirl Folder. I love how beautiful that folder

is and how pretty it looks on this paper!! I used my Scallop Punch from SU! on the borders of the DP.

I then stamped 2 Unity Butterflies with Stazon Ink and cut them out.

I colored in the circles using markers in brown and green.

I then used my Martha Stewart punch and made 3 more smaller butterflies.

The brads are from Bo Bunny.

That is my take on this weeks Sketch at CardPatterns!

Cuttlebug Woodsey Challenge

Ok! Now that I have one....I am going to play!!! Wahooooo!!

This week at Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is to create a project using the following:

A woodsy outdoor project, using woodsy animals (except for snakes) using twigs, pebbles anything from nature.....They also have a fun Colour template for us as a component for this weeks challenge.

Here is my take on the challenge.....

I had an advantage being over at my SIL's Nathalia's house last holiday weekend. She had this awesome new Owl Flourish Folder and I was able to get my hands on it!! So I took the cutie Owl and used it on my card for the challenge!!

Nathalia is the BEST SIL any girl could have that is for sure!!

She has lots of toys and shares them with me!! :)

I know she is great but I am not going to share her!!!

For my card I started with that awesome Cuttlebug Folder and added bling and pearls all over the flourish and to the owls eyes! They sparkle!! :) I them used some flowers from my stash and made this flower and added a pearl to the middle and a twig from nature, and another stem of orange flowers. They are sticking out at the top of the flower. I used this circle of patterned paper that has all of the colors for the challenge inside it.....love it when that happens! I used my Martha Stewart Punch for the bottom border

of the card and I added some lace.

I just love this new folder! It it the cutest thing I have ever seen and the pics do not do it justice! It is soooo pretty and detailed and just gorgeous in person!

~~My new addition and some Unity Cards~~

I know it has been kind of quiet around here for me this week. It has been crazy at work and I have been extremely busy it seems with errands and day to day life. But I do have a new addition to my crafting supplies to share with you all tonight! I brought home this wondrous toy on Wednesday night!! Wahooooooo!! :) My very own Cuttlebug!! Ever since I played with Nathalia's last weekend....I Just could not go another week without this baby on my crafting table!! Now I have a whole new world of opportunities awaiting me and I can hardly wait to get busy! I did buy some folders for it and a few Spellbinders Dies....and I have some more on order. So....I will be using this little guy a lot! You can bet on that!! :)

I made a couple Unity Cards this week.......

These are made with Junes KOTM.

I did use my new Spots and Circles Cuttlebug Folder on the Ice cream card.

I love the way it looks! I also used my Spellbinders Nesties

for the middle background of the cone.

For this card I stamped the image twice and distressed the Dp on all 3 layers. I added some Sasafrass flowers and Twine and inked it up with Rangers Tea Dye ink.

CaardVarks~ ShortCuts~ Sketch Challenge

Well....since I have been dying to play with my new Unity Stamps, and this precious Owl, I thought I would use this cutie for my take on the sketch!! I turned the sketch sideways and dug out some awesome papers that my SIL gave me last weekend. :)

I also pulled out some Prima Flowers and Twine and used my paper Distresser and a couple buttons....and here is my card!! :) What do ya think?? Wow.....I just realized when I was posting this that Nathalia and I used the same stamps from Unity!! LOL! Oooops! I was not trying to be a copy cat Nat!!! I swear!! LOL! I just really love this little guy!

I am sure you will see him used a lot by me in the near future!! Gotta love that yummy Unity!! Oh Yea!! :)

Well.....hope your Tuesday was awesome! Mine was good.

CardPatterns Sketch 22.....Happiness and Butterflies

CardPatterns has such a beautiful Sketch this week......Butterflies and Flourishes??? OH MY! Who could resist??? :) Not me!! So here is my take on the sketch.

I brought home some goodies from my weekend at my SIL, Nathalia's house. So I decided to use some of them with this sketch. We had such a great time using her Cuddlebug and cutting out shapes and embossing them, that I just had to use some of them!

All of the DP on this card is Club Scrap. I used a greeting to go card stock and coordinating mat. I used Embroidery Floss and hand sewed the stitching all around the card. I also added floss to the butterflies their middles to match. The circles and flourishes are cut out with the Cuddlebug and I added a flower from Sassafras to the middle of the circle. The Sentiment is Unity and stamped with Brown Stazon ink and embellished with some bling from K&CO.

Hope you had a wonderful Monday. Mine was hard I have to admit. I really wanted to stay home today and play with all of my new stuff that my SIL gave me......and the rest of my Unity Stamps came in the mail...so It was hard to go to work and resist the urge to play!!

Oh well....gotta have some way to pay for my habit!! Right??? LOL! :)

Cuttlebugged~~and Caardvarks Home is where the heart is.....

Happy 4th. of July everyone!!!

I was not sure if I would be posting at all this weekend........

But I found some time and was able to and I am just soooo happy!

My hubby and I arrived in Lawton yesterday evening and we headed out for a bite to eat with his parents. After that, we went straight over to my SIL's Nathalia house!!

Of course we are always so excited to see her 2 boys and her hubby Oscar. But ladies.....seriously? Have you been to Nathalia's blog????

She has got the MAD skills and just so happens that she was making some 4th. of July projects and was at her craft table!!! :) Wahoooo!
Just being around her makes me feel inspired and I just want her to touch me so she maybe will rub some of that awesome talent onto me!!!! LOL :)

Soooooo.......I sat down with her and I was able to play with her Cuddlebug!! YES! I am officially hooked on this wondrous tool!!! OMG! Why do I NOT have one of these?????

Seriously people!!! WOW! I am literally running out and buying one!!! I had such great fun with it and it's sooo easy to use!!

Well....since she was already making some projects and had a lot of sfuff out.....she told me to start shopping. She did! She told me to go through her papers and embellishments and start picking things out that I wanted to keep!! :) Shopping without money??? For paper and awesomeness???? WOW! She did you guys!! She is sooo sweet to do that for me!!

I picked some items out and then she asked me to play along with the 4th of July card celebration at Caardvarks. Also.....to make something for the most recent Cuttlebug Challenge: Stars.

I was thrilled to be able to play along and with her right there with me!! She whipped out the Cuttlebug and I learned how to use it......I picked out some stamps to use. She had her Unity stamps out in the table so of course I just had to use those!! :)

I picked this cute house and sentiment from Unity as my focal point of the card.

I just really thought that this house and sentiment were so red, white and blue!!! :)

I used DP from Club Scrap and some other yummy papers she gave me.....and ran the light blue dp through the CB with the Stars embossing folder........sooo darn cute! I also cut out the 2 circles for the base of the house using the CB. I stamped the images several times and layered them. I colored them in with red and white pens. I added some stick pins with hearts and I love how they look like Fireworks popping out from the card!! Added some ribbons and there we go!!!

I have just been having an awesome time this holiday weekend hanging with the fam and playing with all of Nathalia's yummy and endless supply of goodies!!! Man, she has a lot of stuff!!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #11 with Dawn McVey

Hi Everyone!~ ~~ Hope your Thursday has been good. I am very glad that my long holiday has officially begun! And what better way to kick off the holiday with another awesome color challenge with Dawn! :)
Wow! There were 5 colors in this challenge and it was tough for me to do I have to admit!!
But I am always up for a challenge!! :)

I am sooooo happy that I was able to play with my new Unity Stamps on this card!! I just signed up for Unitys Kit of the Month and these yummy butterflies were begging me to ink them up!!!
I stamped them with Black Stazon and cut them out. Aren't they gorgeous!!??
The Sentiment and flourish are also from Junes Unity kit. I am lovin my Unity!!!! :) Wahooooo!!

The base of my card is Bright Red card stock from Club Scrap. I added the Grass Green Bassil dp as a background and used my Martha Stewart Punch to decorate the bottom.
I also punched out smaller butterflies with my MS Butterfly Punch. I added Bright Pink bling across the middle of the middle butterfly and to the smaller butterfiles. I distressed the card stock and sentiment and inked it around the edges to tie in all of the black. I added a Soft Grey ribbon to the sentiment.

Well... that is my card for this weeks Raspberry Suite Challenge. I think it turned out pretty cute! I really love these new stamps!! I ordered some more that should be in the mail tomorrow.......OH I hope!!! LOL!
