Club Scrap Camp LO's Week 2 July Kits

Here are a couple LO's that I did for this weeks Camp over at Club Scrap.

We had to use a July kit. Any kit that was made in July.....and there are a lot!

I decided to use my July 2006 Surf's Up Kit.

I broke out some pics of the guys again.....doing what they love.....

These pics were taken in Summer of 2008 in Lawton when

all the guys went fishing together.

And as always....Grandpa caught all the fish!

Cuttlebug Blogspot/Provo Craft Countdown Be Inspired #41

Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot is still giving you and me the chance to win some great new Folders!

This week the fabulous design team was challenged to create altered art from notebooks to recycling products. Create an altered project from items in your recycle bin, containers, or books. The sky is the limit.

Provo craft is the sponsor again this week and will be giving those fantastic new folders to winners that participate in all 4 challenges for the month, you still have time to enter!!!

For my recycling project I took some old Altoids Tins that I have been meaning to Alter and got out my CB folders and Spellbinders Dies and decided to play along!

I went ahead and made it a whole set since I needed to send someone a special Thank You.

I'm going to fill the tins with some special treats! :)

For starters I used SU! DP and my new Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. I just picked this folder up on Wednesday. :) I love it!! I know it's not a new folder but it's new to me!!

I them measured out the dimensions of the tins and cut out the dp to fit.

I inked up the papers with Rangers Vintage inks for a Distressed/Vintage look.

I used Spellbinders dies to cut out the Butterflies and focal point of my card.

The sentiment is SU and I added Prima flowers to the small tin and the card.

I used my SU! Scallop punch to the base of the card and also added

some accent Pearls.

That is my project for the challenge! I sure do hope that the special someone

who gets this set will cherish and enjoy using them!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired #40 Challenge

Countdown to CHA Be Inspired #40 Challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot.
Another great challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge Blog is to create something using the sketch above.

I absolutely LOVE my new Cuttlebug.....as you all know by now!! :) So.... I just had to play in this challenge. My card is Club Scrap papers and I used my CB Folder D'Vine Swirl and my Spellbinders, Labels One, Nesties to create my card. I layered it 3 times and added Ribbon from SU! I also added layered Prima flowers and some Pearls from my Pretties Kit, also SU! The butterfly is from a friend of mine that made some of these beauties for me with her new Cricket!! I know! They are so beautiful....but I can't buy one of those just yet.....hehee! I'm still having too much fun with my new CB!! :) One toy at a time!! But....that gorgeous butterfly is what inspired my colors for this card!! Thank you Christina!! :)

Well....that is my card for this challenge! It has been a long Monday for me but I am glad that my work day is over! I am hoping to find some time to create this evening!! We shall see......

Club Scrap Camp LO Week 1 Stencils

Week 1 at Club Scrap Camp was to create a LO using a Stencil. They have awesome stencils in their kits

and I have a binder full!! What can I say..... It's an awesome club and very addicting!! :)
I did a double page LO and used the August 2006 KOTM. It has rich colors and is Biked Themed.

I like how you can use it for just about anything though.
I used pics of my 3 favorite guys for this LO. My Hubby and our 2 nephews.

These pics were taken in April 2006.

I have tons of pics that I need to get into books....so I know, I am WAY behind!!!

I wish I could have done more than just 1-2page LO, but I just didn't have the time.

Hopefully I can get more done next week.....I have pulled out the many stacks of pics and trying to get some inspiration onto paper!! We will see how it goes.

~Sweet 16 Birthday Card for Leigha~

Here is a card that I made for my Mom's bosses Grand daughter, Leigha. She is turning Sweet 16!
She is a very sweet girl so this fits her very well! I used my pretty s.e.i. Chocolate DP again for this card. This kit is just soooo yummy with butterflies and hues of pinks and browns! It's perfect for a sweet 16 card!

All of the paper and numbers and butterflies are s.e.i. I used my Cuttlebug for the focal point and SU! Ribbon. I also scalloped punched my layers with my SU! punch. It's prettier in person because the camera does not show the glitter on the DP. It's just gorgeous and I wish you could see it in person!! I'm pretty sure that she will just love it as much as I will loved making it for her! Happy Birthday Leigha!

Card Patterns Sketch 24 ~~Amore~~

Card Patterns is having a great Sketch challenge on their blog and it's being sponsered by Odd Bird Planet. They will pick 3 winners and are giving away some great prizes! I love to play along with a great card sketch.....so here is my take.

I used a cream card stock as the base. I inked it up with Rangers Tattered Rose ink. I decided to use my s.e.i papers and rub ons. Its the Chocolat Collection. This is such a pretty collecti0n of papers and rub on's. The Butterfly is from the same DP and I cut it out and added some bling and pearls to the middle of it and also to the bottom of the card. The flowers in the top corners and the Sentiment and flourish on the bottom are all rub on's. It's hard to see in the pictures but there are sparkleys all over the dp frame, strip, and butterfly.

It's very pretty dp!! :) I love this collection! :)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #12 with Dawn McVey

Hi all! Hope your having a wonderful and blessed Saturday!

Dawn is back with another great color challenge and I just love the colors that she chooses, and this one is NO exception! My take on the challenge once again are flowers! I know, I know......but I can't help it! They are my fav!! And these homemade ones are just too cute!! :)

I started with a Cream card base and then added Dark Red and Cream to the side as a panel and then added Bright Pink Ribbon from SU! I used Celery as the back ground of the card. I made a flower with the Chatterbox DP and also made the leaves out of the Cream DP. I added a Bright Pink Button and added Cream Embroidery Floss to the middle of it. The Sentiment is from Unity and says:

"Everyday holds the possibility of a Miracle."

Kristina Werner Color Challenge #56 ~Merci~

Kristina has a very challenging color inspiration this week! And do I ever mean challenging!! I had a really hard time with this one. But I finally found the time and the mojo to crank this card out!! LOL! :) It did take me a while, but here it is! I figured I would put my new favorite toy to work....so I used my Cuttlebug for most of this card. I am having a blast using that thing!! I ordered some more Spellbinders Dies and made a flower with these scalloped circles. The flourish is a new Sizzix Die that I bought today. I love that I can use all kinds of dies with my new toy! Some of the DP is from Club Scrap and the rest is Chatterbox. The sentiment, scallop punch and ribbon are SU! I added blue bling to the middle of the flower.

~Unity Buttons Galore~

I have a quick post tonight before I hit the comfy bed and call it a day!

I just had to use this fun Unity Stamp Tree that my awesome SIL gave me a couple weeks ago.

It's such a fun stamp and I love that it had different size circles in the tree.

Those circles were just begging to have some buttons put on them!!

I took the DP and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Spots & Dots Folder and the top

layer is some yummy CS paper. I used different size buttons and some embroidery floss to match

the DP. I distressed the edges and inked the DP with Rangers Tea Dye Ink.

The Sentiment is also Unity.

It's a fun and sweet card!

Simple, fun colors, buttons and Unity!

All go together pretty well!!
